Things I Can't Take Seriously (An Essay)

September 29, 2025 in Essays, Wee, Death, Asses

Things I can’t take seriously:

  • humans

  • relationships

  • problems

  • this world

  • politics

  • religion

  • money

  • time

  • life

  • death

  • myself

  • you

And…

It’s not that I don’t get caught up in these illusions at times.

Because I do.

And…

It’s not that I am not deeply moved by the passing of those I love (especially my kitty besties) and shed the tears that honour our experience together.

Because I am. And I do.

And it’s not that I am not absolutely repulsed by the abhorrent ‘tragedies’, aka the accurate reverberation, of a species that is out of touch with what’s real.

Because humanity / insanity isn’t the vibe.

But ultimately,

and inevitably,

I always land back in truth.

And I see everything and everyone

without a personal lens attached.
