The Sane Become ‘Disordered’
Despite having been ‘assessed’ and ‘diagnosed’ with X, Y, Z way back when…
I don’t consider myself disordered.
I see all manner of supposed ‘fucked up-ness’
both in myself and in others
as a very healthy, sane, and natural response to insanity / dysfunction / abuse / trauma
within the family
within society
within the self
and…
I see these destructive patterns / coping mechanisms as an absolute necessity born from — and an inevitable byproduct of — being raised in and / or currently living within disturbing conditions
and…
it is still not
and it will never be
who we truly are
at our core
and…
every ‘condition’ dissolves of its own accord the longer and the closer we stay in truth since it only arose from distortion
and…
no matter what happened or what we’re currently experiencing and holding onto
it is up to each of us to do the work to free ourselves from whatever ‘fucked up-ness’ we were born into and subsequently created for ourselves
(and ultimately chose at the highest and deepest level, remember?)
and…
guilt and shame and fault and blame towards ourselves or the other for whatever occurred or was seemingly withheld is not where IT’s at either
that’s just another prison and who needs that?
not me
not you
and…
when an entire system is corrupt because everyone is ‘sick’ aka living in and from compensation because they are swimming in the same mess they were born into
it means that the other you’re trying to hold responsible for whatever you feel you’re a victim of
was and is just as ‘fucked up’ as you are
so it’s silly to expect sanity where none exists
and…
this doesn’t excuse a thing
and…
it doesn’t mean the impact wasn’t real
but…
what affects the human never touches the being
and we are sovereign whether we ever step into that reality or not
and…
when you can de-personalize your shit, as well as everyone else’s shit since we all have shit we are contending with
then you gift yourself some breathing room
to lessen all this shit
