The Buffered State
You can’t truly have a relationship with someone who can’t see straight / be present / tend to, and contend with, their stuff.
You’re ‘relating’ to a shell of who they are.
To the matter that’s been put in place to buffer what they’ve yet to face.
And someone who is living in a perpetual state of compensation,
Someone who is checked out as a default,
Someone who is being led by their vices / dysfunctions / triggers / insecurities / fears / pain / delusions / stories…
is not available for a true relationship because they aren’t actually, and can’t be, here.
They’re always there.
And they’re always running.
From you.
From the moment.
From the truth.
From themselves.
So what you are left with is a diluted and superficial experience that never truly hits the spot.
And the more you live your life in truth,
the more this kinda thing won’t do.
