It's surreal to me that I'm preparing to leave a home I love, a neighbourhood I love, a city I love, a customer base I love, a lifestyle I love and so many people I love.
Surreal because as many people know, I had no intentions of ever leaving Cambridge and would have happily stayed in this home for the rest of my life if I could.
Why would anyone leave something that makes them so happy?
Yet here I am preparing to go.
Best case scenario is that I'm leaving something wonderful for something even more wonderful.
Worst case scenario is that I land in the beautiful city of Montreal and drown in a sea of my own tears because of all I've left behind.
But as my fellow Mandy reminded me tonight, it's me that makes each spot beautiful. It's me that creates all the connections everywhere I go. It's me that makes everything exciting.
And if I could find this much beauty, and this many connections, and all this excitement in a little city like Cambridge, imagine what awaits me in Montreal.
With love and fear and sadness and soul joy,
