The internet allows me to live bigger than I actually do. I can connect with the world from a screen in my hand or on my lap in real time without cramping my personal style. I love this so much.
I don't require a whole lot to be happy. A pretty place. My bike. Nature. Kitties. Wifi. My Apple toys. Solitude. An abundance of time to create. Freedom to express. A small handful of big hearted beloveds. Quality connection to myself.
It's a simple life I live and crave.
I feel like I'm one of the few who have zero desire to travel. Or move. Or get a tattoo. Or find a partner for life. Or have a car (never have, never will). Or have a big place.
But in terms of external world stuff, I do dream of having a personal chef. And a personal masseuse for multiple full body massages each week. And being in a hot video. Just one will do. And a billion dollars, please. Just because I think it would suit me. All of these would be nice, but not necessary for my happiness.
We all have our own dreams and desires that are unique to us. And we are all entitled to want what we want and we don't have to want what everyone else wants.
Your version of heaven will not look like my version of heaven. How could it?
Ultimately though, I think we're all after peace and happiness and the feeling of being completely connected to the highest part - that divine aspect of who we are - and that journey is different for each of us.
And I think we want the things we want because we are after the feeling we think we'll get once we have it. But let's not forget that we can also feel those feelings ahead of time and in the meantime. You don't have to wait for something outside of you to take place before you allow yourself to feel good. Why deny yourself pleasure in this moment? Seems silly to me.
Sure it might take internal effort but you can feel freedom now. You can feel abundant now. You can feel powerful now. You can be in love now. You can feel worthy now. You can feel peace right now. You can feel relief right now. You can have it all right now.
And the sooner you help yourself to feel the way you truly want to feel, the quicker you'll line up with all those delicious things "out there" that will assist you in feeling even more of the good stuff.
You know what lights you up. Move towards that. Or at the very least, don't make yourself wrong for wanting what lights you up.
The wisest ones seek joy.
Lotsa love from my cozy bubble,
