Sooooo ... Paige's lease is up at the end of June and tonight she asked me if I'd want to find a two-bedroom with her instead of staying here another year. I said HECK YES!!!
If you haven't been following along, I'm currently living on my kid's couch. Not the best thing but certainly not the worst thing.
She said she'd rather live with me than anyone else (I feel the same about her) and it's too small here for the both of us so I guess that means we're officially on the hunt to see if we can even afford a bigger place by that time.
Isn't it so amazing that she wants this? And that I do, too?
When I first moved to Montreal, my goal was to move out as soon as possible and her goal was to have me out as soon as possible. But to our surprise, we've ended up loving living together for soooooo many reasons. You can read about those perks here.
And thank goodness it worked out that way because if I was stuck in my own place right now needing to pay full rent and working at the job that I've been working at .... I can't even imagine.
Thanks to living with Paige I can afford to take these next two months off and still be able to eat and contribute to the bills. I couldn't do the French Immersion program full-time if I had full rent to pay. I could not just leave my job like I'm about to.
I love having bigger and better things to look forward to.
