Some people still mock or judge me for how much I post on my personal Facebook page and beyond. For all that I mark and celebrate and express endlessly. And since that's always been the case (me being me and others finding it excessive), it's not something I think much about these days.
But after someone recently said what I've heard so many times before, I wanted to share this:
From my perspective, I wonder how so many others can't see or appreciate all the beauty and sacredness that surrounds them each day. How they assume they can revisit that moment in some unknown future. How they put off diving deeply into the unique moments of their life.
You won't get ANY of those moments back. Were you even there for them?
If you knew that today was your last day, you would notice everything, too. You'd feel it all. You'd find a depth and a beauty in all moments as they pass. You'd mark and collect them with your presence, be it through pictures or sweet memories. You'd be fully there.
I'm fully here. Every day. So I see and feel and notice a lot. I don't move blindly through my life waiting for "one day". I celebrate and learn from each one as best as I can.
And I genuinely believe each moment IS the big event.
THIS IS IT.
Today is the day I've been given. Tomorrow may not come. And one day tomorrow won't come at all.
That holds true for all of us.
So I capture as many fleeting moments as I can in the way that feels most fun for me, and I share them with anyone who cares to see the world through my eyes.
All of you are on my page by choice, and I swear if I hear one more person go on about how much I post, I'll post double the amount in that person's honour!
With cheeky love,
Mandy xo

"I often get comments of the same nature things like "you share so much of your life on social media" and my response is pretty simple, how can you not? I like sharing my life with others, and being the traveller I am and have been, my loved ones are all over the world. I think social media is beautiful because it allows me to partake in their lives and them to partake in mine when the years between the visits pile up. I love that my life is documented here, that I can review and reflect and enjoy these moments more than once. These memories have so much more depth to them than just a picture in a book somewhere."
