For some people it's a car, a house, a tattoo, or maybe a pair of shoes. For me, it's a piece of technology. That's my treasure. Today I'll be saying goodbye to my love of 4 years - my iPhone 4s (pictured here years ago doing what we do best - celebrating boobs through selfies) and I'll be getting the silver 5s in just a few hours. Swoon.
I often joke that I've never met a man that I like more than my iPhone, except it's the absolute truth and you could replace "man" with human and it would still be true.
I adore technology.
So this is my official goodbye to my 4s. I had this girl for 4 years and she's still in immaculate condition. Not one scratch or dent. Still perfection. I don't think any phone has ever been as loved. I restored it to its factory settings for Paige who's buying this off me today. Yep, I'm charging her for it. Half of what I could get for it but still. Bye bye, beauty!
Well hello there, handsome fella! A kiss before I undress you.
My 4s was a lady. My 5s is a gent. I didn't name her and I haven't named him but I think I just might.
My girl with her new toy and her new tattoo. She got both on the same day. Such a beauty inside and out.
Over the span of two weeks I received three (yes 3) new iPhones thanks to a series of unfortunate events. The first cost me next to nothing and the next two were covered by Apple (double yay!) but needless to say, those events completely squashed any attachment I once had to my phone. As it should be. My 4s was my love and the 5s - though superior in every way - will never have my heart. I am grateful each day for it, as I was for my previous treasure, but I have learned to be ready and stable should the current one pull a stunt and need replacing. Third time's a charm as they say though, and so far, so good.
