I came across this picture quote today and I love its message. I think we should all aspire to have the greenest grass (best life/highest self) we're capable of creating, and not for the purpose of trumping another's shade of green but for the reward we get from cultivating our own land, day in and day out.
This is why my grass is the greenest. Because it's the only grass I'm paying attention to. And damn skippy it'll get greener every day.
Isn't that what we're here for? Continual self-realization, personal progress and authentic achievement?
I'm not worried about what you're doing because I only compete with my previous self - which is not really "competing" per se, as much as it's "expanding beyond". I choose to stay in my own lane and I don't waste energy measuring how much further ahead or behind I am in relation to others because it's completely irrelevant.
Have I grown and deepened through each experience? Am I aligned with the highest version and vision of myself? Am I feeling good? Am I happy? Am I adding light to the world? Am I in my zone or properly caring for myself if I'm not? These are the things that matter to me.
If you figure out what truly matters to you, it becomes much easier to know when you're off track and in need of a tune up. And I think Monday is a great day for a fresh tweak because it will affect the rest of your week, so do what you need to do today to make something in your life, your home or yourself, shine a just little bit brighter.
