My Frenchman has been my saving grace since the first day we started connecting.
He has been the most consistent, calming and grounding influence during this transition and Melanie even deemed him "one of us" last week.
We talk on the phone daily and at crazy hours to boot because of my sleeping schedule or lack there of, which perfectly coincides with his work schedule as a security guard.
He has already begun searching for places for me since I told him exactly what I was looking for. Something he asked me about and offered to do while we were on the phone at 6am, because that is who he is.
He is a jack of all trades and the most generous human I've met in a long time.
He is also a true old school gentleman.
He believes in phone calls over texts.
He believes in properly and sufficiently elevating and wooing a woman.
He is also a gifted and eloquent wordsmith. The key to my heart.
He has never ever once said anything sexual to me (he wouldn't dare to be so crass this early but I know what bubbles under the surface), yet he flirts endlessly and is more intimate than any man I've ever known.
True intimacy is getting to know somebody organically. And slowly. It's being emotionally available. It's not asking for nudes. It's not aiming to hook up. It's actually connecting heart to heart and going from there.
So far he has shown me that he is the kind of man that is hard to come by. The kind that I actually respond to fully because he offers himself fully in ways that I deserve.
He is a man of his word. He's a man of action and honour. And he values what matters: A genuine connection with another human being. Being of service. Adding light.
I am so grateful for him.
I can't wait to hug him. And maybe more.
