Get yourself a co-author who agrees to let you publish his innermost thoughts after only a few days of knowing you (true story), gives you full permission to do whatever you want with his words because he trusts you that much, and fully supports you through both the first and second birth of your literary love child.
When I told Keveen I added a number of our juicy emails and passages that I had previously left out of the original book, even juicer stuff that I was too shy to share before this week, he didn’t even ask which emails or passages. He wasn’t worried.
Talk about creative freedom.
That’s why Keveen received more from me than any man before or since. It was all about freedom for me.
And nope, I won’t shut up about The Poet & The Butterfly. Are you kidding? This is the second happiest time in my life. The first being when I actually experienced what you’re about to read about.
Nothing tops it. Nothing has ever made me as happy as working on this book. It was true in 2007 and it’s still true today. This book is my happy place. My magic place. My timeless place.
It’s where my soul shines the brightest and I feel the most alive.
This book means everything to me. It means more to me than anything else I’ve ever created.
It’s my heart and soul in a tangible form, and it’s one of the three biggest accomplishments of my life - the other two being my relationship with Paige and my ability to transform all of my struggles into something beautiful.
The 10th Anniversary Edition of The Poet & The Butterfly is almost here, my friends. OMG.
