As Denise Duffield-Thomas recently pointed out after cutting her child's toast into the shape of a house by request, "Toddlers are such good manifesting role models. They specify exactly what they want, they don't compromise and they 100% believe they deserve it."
What about you?
Do you ask for what you want? Do you believe you deserve to have it?
If not, what if the only reason you don't have what you want is because you answered no to one or both of those questions?
What if you started asking for what you want? What if you convinced yourself you're worthy of what you desire?
What would happen then?
Isn't it worth finding out?
Today I applied for a job I'm not 100% qualified for just so I could pitch a project I know I'd be amazing at and one that I believe would be a valuable asset to their company.
I felt inspired to share my idea so that's exactly what I did on the off chance that someone who works there is expansive and open to new ideas. Someone who likes the picture I painted. Someone who might have already been thinking of adding something like this. Someone who would read what I wrote and think, "FUCK YES!"
Will I get a response? Who knows. Maybe they'll hate it. But who cares?
There is no harm in putting your ideas out there or taking fun risks. There is no harm in asking for what you want.
So what if someone says no. So what if 100 people say no. Someone will say yes eventually but even with that, it all starts with you.
Are YOU saying yes to yourself? Are you daring to go after what you want or willing to create what doesn't yet exist?
Because that's what really matters, ultimately.
