Tonight’s the night we celebrate the rebirth of The Poet & The Butterfly. YAY! And my day started off with this sweet message above from Keveen.
There will be more people than expected at the party tonight (another YAY!) which sadly means I won’t have copies for everyone who might want one there since I only saved copies for those who had confirmed their attendance and requested one by the time I got my books last week, BUT more will arrive some time in January so another YAY!
Though the books selling out is an AMAZING and unexpected gift, had I thought things through, I would have at least saved myself a copy (what kind of author am I?) and you know, saved some for Renaud-Bray in Montreal as planned, but I forgot because I was so damn excited to get my books into Wordsworth Books and to get all my copies into the hands of my readers.
As is the nature of the generous man who was my muse for this little book of love though, Keveen offered up the two copies I reserved for him and one of his readers, and said he will wait until the next round in January to receive them.
I believe only Keveen and Melanie know, understand and appreciate how very much The Poet & The Butterfly means to me.
I try to express it through words but words have never done it justice. They merely point to it. They are just the ashes and the overflow of it.
But Keveen felt it. He was the other half of it. And Melanie is the other half of me, and she, more than anyone on the planet (save for Keveen during the time of us) is intimately acquainted with my heart and soul.
She has travelled every inch and corner of both, and she is my everything who knows about everything and makes it all even richer than it was before.
With so much love and gratitude on this very special day,
P.P.S. If an erotic, poetic, insightful and vulnerable real-life fairytale is your kinda thing, I invite you to explore my soul's offering, The Poet & The Butterfly Collection.
