After last week's Sexpot Studio relaunch video called, What I Find Sexy (And I Bet You've Got It), I received a ton of wonderful feedback from my cyber crew and boy did I need it after all the anxiety I had inside while I created it.
And I'm happy to announce that this week went so much smoother for me. I loved talking about my current inspiration, James Clear, and sharing a bit about how we can all achieve better results in our life. (Read his article, Forget About Setting Goals. Do This Instead.)
This week's personal win: My biggest issue with recording was not anxiety this time. HOLLA! It was trying to fill everything I wanted to say into a 3 minute clip. IMPOSSIBLE! Especially for a talkaholic like me. So I did a bit of shoddy editing since I've yet to master smooth transitions, and I used my kitty, Chloe, for two random what-the-fuck moments in between my broken recording. Before now I have always opted for a one-take experience but this week I thought I'd try something new.
I'm really proud of myself for doing the thing that scares me the most (being solo in front of a video camera). I even sweet talked myself before, during and after recording my video just to make things smoother, reminding myself that I'm awesome and this doesn't need to be perfect and I have plenty of time to figure things out, and GOOD FOR ME for creating something because it's better than creating nothing and this can be a playful experiment and experience instead of a serious and anxiety-producing task.
The main goal is to just do it. The natural result will be that I'll get more and more comfortable every week and improve in all areas, and hopefully one day I'll feel right at home in front of the camera. I really believe that's possible. Last week was hell. This week was not. That's progress.
Enjoy the video and feel free to leave a comment here if you've got some love to give.
